The design and decor at Southern Rock Seafood Kitchen is really quaint with a nautical theme. It makes you feel like being on the Atlantic coast of the United States, somewhere between Boston and the tip of Maine, where the fish is the freshest and yet again it also has a beachy Florida Keys vibe to it wish is really attractive. You get your very clean white and bare reclaimed wood finishings, hints of blue color fish traps and hand painted fish on the walls.
They offer quite a wide selection of seafood appetizers – from sashimi style fresh cuts of fish, to fresh oysters to salads and more Southern Rock Seafood does not stop at country specifics. You can get it Japanese style, Western style or their own style. You can get fish from all over the world, and you can get fine fresh oysters, shucked right in front of you, from around the European seas – from Traggeana Bay in Ireland to West Mersea in England, from Loch Ryan Natives in Scotland to Fine de Claire from France and the priciest of them all – the Belon Native from the Netherlands.
The Southern Rock Seafood Kitchen also dishes out a great selection of cooked oysters, grilled with your choice of topping, from Oysters Florentine (Spinach & Parmesan), Oysters with Cheese (Shredded Cheddar) and/or Oriental Oysters (Soya sauce, chilli padi, Ginger). If that is not enough try their brilliant Bloody Mary Oyster Shooters with shots of freshly shucked oysters.
Hands down the most exceptional and most casual seafood dining in KL – it certainly is the freshest – what is there not to like?
