While Sitka restaurant is open everyday and worthwhile the detour. Sitka Studio is quite different. The studio is located on the 1st floor above Sitka restaurant, but only opens its doors twice per month. If you want to go there you have to be on the list, because the food is amazing and there are only very few places available every month.

Sitka studio is known for serving an very ambitious tasting menu run by local restaurateur Jenifer Kuah and Christian Recomio, owner of Moonfish Café in the UK. Christian continued cooking in Malaysia after stints in Barcelona, Oslo and the best restaurant in the world, Noma in Copenhagen – and Sitka studio is now where he is presenting his latest creations.
The studio has an approach to food that allows them to innovate and focus on traditional techniques like fermentation, brining, pickling, smoking and salting to showcase the best of Malaysia’s produce with the addition of a few luxe items. In addition to this, their beverage menu is unique to KL, because they only serve a list of 100% natural and organic wines from boutique wine producers. A concise juice menu highlights Malaysia’s tropical fruits.
Breaking away from the traditional concept of fine-dining, service at Studio is relaxed with chefs interacting with the guests as they dine – this really gives Sitka studio the warm and friendly vibe that they are well-known for – and it makes what they offer rather unique in Malaysia.
Tasting menus start from RM268++ per person, wine pairing is RM200++ per person.
Studio is also available for private events and parties with bespoke menus. All dietary
requirements are catered for.
