Lantern Hotel

Some of Chinatown’s old historical buildings have been given new leases of life in recent years, but Lantern Hotel may be the most successful conversion to date. The design of this particular boutique hotel is very striking and, in terms of attraction based on appearances and design features, should entice many guests who have a soft spot for unique boutique hotels.

While the hotel caters to all types of travelers, from young couples, to flashpackers and backpackers; this hotel does offer dormitories as well as private rooms, but only a few units are fitted with balconies or verandas and most rooms do not provide much of a view. For that, one has to head to the top floor where the Lantern Hotel Café, an open-air terrace, is overlooking this busy part of KL.
