This year, Nippon Paint are teaming up with Urbanscapes Festival and various emerging artists to present “Colours of Life”. This project translates Nippon Paint’s Trend Beyond Colours 2020/2021 and its 4 inspiring key themes – Precious Tale, Gentle Whisper, Pop Life and Raw Beauty – into works of art that bring life to spaces. Discover these colourful art works in the heart of KL this November!
“B-Loom” is an art installation that showcases the strings art to the public.
Taking the idea of a weaving loom, the installation plays with the ideas of improvisation, on-site learning and experimentation often incorporating various techniques such as macrame knotting and weaving. Inspired by Nippon Paint’s “Pop Life” Trend Colours, we create a lively celebratory environment with excitement and happiness through bright cheerful colours.
We have the idea to reuse construction scaffolding as the main structure that will house a series of whimsical strings art where it is interactive to the public. The colourful strings will also offer people to enjoy the space within the structure, besides softening the tectonics steel scaffolding structures. Simple geometric were derived to respect the urban language of the old shop houses around the site.
It will be a site for experimentation, play, and gathering. It resembles flowers blooming in the middle of a city. “
