WHY – The world has many important problems. We are an association of people who believe we can work together to fix them.
HOW – We can only fix the world’s difficult problems if we collaborate and make new connections with other people.
WHAT – 1. Talks from three fantastic speakers. All trying to fix big important global problems. All talks will be limited to 15 minutes with time for 5 minutes of questions.
2. After the talks there will be music and an opportunity to network!!

1. Lara Affin
President of Rimau
A documentary producer for more than 20 years, Lara is passionate about the conservation of wildlife. She has made it her life’s mission to protect the tigers of Malaysia. To that end, she has produced many award winning documentaries and short films that promote the conservation of this species. Her message is that we must come together to save the few remaining Malayan Tigers before they are gone forever!!
2. Ruth Yeoh
Businesswoman, writer and philanthropist Ruth Yeoh is one of Singapore’s top environmental exerts. She is the president of YTL Group’s sustainability division – which she established to find ways of minimising the group’s impact upon the environment. To Yeoh, being an environmentalist is more than just a personal conviction, it makes for a good corporate strategy as well. A true polymath she co-authored a book on climate change in 2007 and is one of the youngest Trustees of Reef Check Malaysia, a non-profit body focused on coral reef conservation.
3. Gwen Tribeles
Gwen is a educationalist and campaginer for environmental action. She has led many environmental campaigns and is a forefront of teaching children how to look after the planet. She believes that the key to a more sustainable future lies in the education of the next generation.

WHAT IS TIN?
The goal of TIN is to spread great ideas and become a platform for the world’s smartest thinkers, visionaries and awe-inspiring teachers so that thousands of people can gain a better understanding of the issues facing the world and a desire to help create a better future.
